Washington has stated that such Arab countries, Sudan, Libya, Iraq, and Syria are potential supporters of terrorism. Launching armed services action against any Arab state would spell the end of consensus in the internationalist alliance against terrorism. If an attack from the United States on Iraq were to occur, I believe that it would lead to destabilizing protest among ordinary Arabs already mad at the United States for its perceived bias in favor of Israel in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Even though the U.S. has not decided if it will use military force in Iraq, the Arab League will not tolerate any excessive force, or any force for that matter in Iraq.
